Artwork Requirements

Eps files are the preferred file type for most branding on promotional products. These files allow the printers to accurately manipulate logos without any loss of detail and provide the best quality and outcome for reproducing logos on the promotional product.

Embroidery

Art may be supplied as a jpg, tif, or by hard copy (i.e. business card) in required colours. Up to seven colours may be used (number of colours makes no difference to the price).

Screen printing

Art may be supplied as a digital file or film. No artwork/film charges will apply if film is supplied to the suppliers' specifications. A set up charge applies for the production of the screen.

Art charges

These are for the creation of artwork suitable to be output to film.

Film charges

These are for the output of film, dependant on the size of the print, and are charged per colour.

Set up charges

These are for the production of the silk screen and are charged per colour. If a hard copy of multi coloured art is supplied (business card/letterhead/other printed matter) it must be redrawn and artwork charges apply based on design or logo.

Sublimation

Sublimation involves a dye transfer system. The image is permanently embedded into the texture of the promotional material surface. Sublimated promotional products include neoprene coolers, mouse pads, polo shirts, t-shirts, mugs, medals.

Pad printing

Most small plastic items such as promotional stress balls, promotional pens, promotional rulers, golf balls, etc. are pad printed. The specifications for digital artwork are generally the same as screen printing, however half tone or shading is much coarser are not available on all items.

Laser engraving

Digital files should be black and white only, .tiff, .jpg or .bmp at 1200 dpi. A hard copy can be supplied (not faxed) at least 300% of original art. This copy must be very clear and sharp - usually a laser print will suffice, some bubble jet prints are not acceptable.

Digital or process prints

All prints in this manner are printed using four colours - cyan, magenta, yellow and black. If supplying digital files for this type of print, they MUST be in CMYK format. RGB (red, blue, green) files are not acceptable as they are used for on screen images only. Files must be at 300 dpi or more and at 100% scale.

PMS Colours

A colour swatch or PMS colour will allow us to match colours as closely as possible. A pms colour is a print colour with a code that is used by printers to represent ink colours. Metallic print of thread for embroidery may cost extra, dishwasher safe prints on glass and ceramics incur extra costs.

Etching

This method is used mainly for branding glass products such as wine glasses, glass coasters, beer mugs. The product is coated with a protective, acid proof coating. The surface of the promotional product is then exposed to an acidic chemical. The acid attacks the exposed promotional product surface and leaves image etched onto the surface.
